Giloo believes great films deserve more chances to be seen.

Giloo is a streaming platform focused on independent and arthouse cinema. Through online curation, in-person screenings, and partnerships with international festival curators, we connect filmmakers, audiences, and institutions, with a focus on social issues and artistic innovation. In recent years we launched Giloo Launchpad, offering tools like crowdfunding, merch, online talks and AI subtitles, helping creators take back ownership of their films' lifecycle and bringing Asian cinema to a global stage.

Maybe you already are

You may already be doing this.

Curating, writing, sharing,
turn what you already do into work that compounds.

After a great film, you write about it on IG or Threads Even if only ten people heart it, you keep writing.
When friends ask "seen anything good lately?" you actually think it through You don't just send a link, you explain why the film matters.
You have your own Instagram, podcast, newsletter, or YouTube channel The topic doesn't have to be film; books, issues, and subcultures all count.
You enjoy hosting screenings, group viewings, or curating reading and film lists For you, film is a way to meet more like-minded people.
You're often frustrated that festival-only films don't reach a wider audience Hoping the overlooked films you love can spark more conversation once they hit streaming.
You want the issues you care about to travel through film To make the issues you care about more visible.
Two or more apply to you? Then you're the kind of Impact Partner we're looking for!

Writing reviews used to just be a hobby; I'd publish and rarely know what came of it. After becoming a Partner, I could finally see in the data that people watched films because of my recommendation. Helping good films find an audience feels genuinely rewarding.

Transitional-justice documentaries are often seen as heavy and dry, but this program lets me bring people in slowly, in my own way. Even one more person curious about this important chapter of Taiwan's history makes it worth it.

I often recommend works on Facebook, especially documentaries about migrant workers, and I hope that after watching, people in Taiwan will think about who's holding up our cities, our families, our daily lives. The tools Giloo provides have also saved me so much time making graphics and writing posts.

A lot of documentaries used to be something you could only catch at festivals, so finding them later on Giloo gave me this lovely surprise of "oh, these films can keep being discovered." My colleagues were always asking what I'd watched lately, and becoming an Impact Partner lets me help these niche but important works reach more people, with a little income coming back too. It's really nice.
